My name is Jayden and this is why I like having educational freedom. First, I’m going to tell you about co-op. Next, I’ll inform you about what I get to do at home. Lastly, I’ll tell you about the bushcraft I do. These are some of the main reasons I like having educational freedom.
In co-op I get to learn many different informative subjects every couple weeks like cooking or how to spend and budget money. Also, I am able to play fun games and have long conversations with other kids. Third, there are slightly fewer students than in a normal classroom which helps me be less distracted.
When I am at home I get to spend some extra time with my awesome family. Also, I don’t have to sit at a desk for eight hours like I would at a traditional school. Third, I am able to do a lot of extra activities that I could do other than getting back from school then going straight to an activity like bushcraft, co-op, and sports which takes a while. Lastly, I am able to learn some extra subjects I wouldn’t learn at school like how to crochet and garden.
In bushcraft I am physically active the whole time, I am able to go hiking, fishing, and foraging. Second, we learn how to be prepared and how to survive in the wilderness of the desert. Lastly, I get to work with other people that helps me build leadership skills and teamwork skills.
These are the primary reasons I enjoy having educational freedom. It allows me to choose what I am able to learn and do for activities. It also allows me to go at my own pace of speed. It also does not make me stay still all day in a chair.
